Lansing is filled with places to skateboard. With just a little bit of imagination and creativity, the possibilities are endless. There are stair sets all over to launch yourself down and quite a few ledges. An infamous spot to skate in East Lansing is outside the art museum, "The Broad". The Broad is decked with "No Skateboarding" signs, which means it is a very fun place to skate. It is located on Grand River, but be warned, the workers there have been known to contact the police upon sight of skateboarders. To avoid this conflict, go past 9 PM when the museum closes for the night. They have street lights lighting up all the skate spots so don't even trip about the time! That being said, going out and finding spots can be exhausting within itself so when in doubt, head over to Ranney Skate Park on Michigan Ave. This is where many locals meet up before heading to the streets.
